Why A Specialist
European cars aren't harder to work on. They're just engineered to different assumptions, and those assumptions matter. Torque specs are tighter. Fluids are approvals, not grades. Half the parts on the car have to be told they've been replaced before they'll work.
A general shop can absolutely change your oil. Where it gets expensive is the work that needs the car's own software — coding a battery to the charging system, calibrating a camera after a windshield, putting an electronic parking brake into service mode, adapting a mechatronic unit after a fluid change. Skip those steps and a correctly fitted part still behaves like a faulty one.
BMW and Mercedes-Benz make up the bulk of the work, with Audi and Volkswagen close behind and Porsche a regular. Everything from a daily 3 Series to weekend cars that only come out when the roads are dry.
Past the factory warranty, when dealership pricing stops making sense but the car still needs someone who knows it. That's most of our customers.
